The Hearts Apart program is designed to assist family members in making prolonged separations more bearable due to deployment, remote tours, or extended TDY. Hearts Apart helps military families stay connected, provides information on resources and services available, and assists with various needs or requests addressed by the families.
Employment Readiness provides job search assistance and referral services for employment opportunities. Services and classes focus on education and preparation for the job search process. Assistance is offered in the following areas:

Personal Financial Readiness Services provide tools and information needed to develop individual strategies, achieve financial goals, address economic challenges, and other general money management areas.
You can schedule a one-on-one consultation with a financial advisor who will evaluate individual or family income and expenditures and then recommend short-and long-term goals. Financial counselors are also available to discuss budgets, debt counseling, and retirement contributions.
The Exceptional Family Member Program provides comprehensive support to Family members with special needs. EFMP takes an all-inclusive approach to helping service members and their families with special needs by coordinating military and civilian community, educational, medical, housing, and personnel services.
An Exceptional Family Member is an adult or child with any physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual difference that requires special treatment, therapy, education, training, or counseling.
EFMP Family Support connects families with resources and support so that they can skillfully advocate for themselves. EFMP Family Support also provides assistance with Respite Care, support groups, educational and informative classes and workshops, outreach services, and recreational activities and outings.
Counselors are licensed professionals who provide confidential situational, problem-solving counseling. Family counseling is free for active duty military members and their family members.
The Family Advocacy Program offers several free resources and educational programs to active duty, family members, civilians, and retirees.
School Liaisons are installation subject matter experts to families, installation leadership staff, and commanders who assist with all local Pre-K through grade 12 school issues and challenges facing military children. Find your local School Liaison.
